This is an upgrade to my old previous build. The U46 version of the sub-classing system has made it so that the DPS of each class has increased dramatically, making it difficult for Dragonknights to maintain their original rotation and fighting style without reducing their output. The idea of this build is to keep the Dragonknight's own playstyle as much as possible while getting decent damage. In Trail Dummy tests, I was able to successfully get the DPS to break 130K with this build.
Sub-Classing
For the sub-classing lines, I chose the Nightblade's Assassination and the Templar's Aedric Spear. Assassination's passive gives us a high crit rate and crit damage, the active skill has excellent damage and bonuses as well, it also makes up for Dragonknights lack of execution skills. Aedric Spear's active skill doesn't have skills that we need, but the passive can easily give us a nice boost, so all we need to do is activate its passive and we're good to go.
Sets
The Dragonknight's skills are spread out, with a lot of direct damage, as well as damage over time damage, and spams Molten Whip consumes both Stamina and Magicka, making it difficult to build and sustain. Therefore, in terms of gear selection, we try to choose sets that provide a boost to global damage, rather than strengthening one aspect of the set; Ansuul provides a 7% increase in permanent damage (14% when you interrupt enemies), and Berserking Warrior (Advancing Yokeda) provides a high crit rate, while giving us a short window to switch weapon bars while still maintaining the Effect. The Maelstrom 2H provides a high bonus to all of our skills, and Zaan Monster set does good damage on its own, as well as getting a bonus to the Dragonknight's Flame damage boost. If you don't like using 2H sword on your front bar, you can also use the common dual set.
Skills
For the skills, we basically kept the rotation prior to the U46 version, start the fight with a Greatsword Charge Attack, then use the Scribing skill for a weapon spell damage bonus, followed by Carve, Poisoned Claw, then switch to front bar and use Barbed Trap, Engulfing Flames, Flames of Oblivion. Then repeat with Molten Whip, and so on. Relentless Focus as a passive skill does not usually need to be cast, though it can be used in some cases. The Execution skill starts when Health bar is below 25%.
Champion Points
For Offensive Champion Points, we choose Direct Damage Bonus, DOT Damage Bonus, Single Target Bonus, and Weapons and Spell Damage to Skill. Direct Damage and DOT Damage bonuses help with almost all our skills, and Single Target bonuses help with Spamable and Execution skills. For other Champion Points, you can choose for yourself based on your personal needs.
Food and Potion
For food, in less intense fights, we can use Candied Jester's Coins that provides magika restoration and max stamina, which ensures sustain and adds a bit of damage. If the fight is more difficult, you can switch to Orzorga's Smoked Bear Haunch to ensure survivability and sustain. This food is pretty expensive, so you can also replace it with Jewels of Misrule for similar perform. For potions, since Dragonknights will consume two resources at the same time, we need to use Essence of Health to ensure resource recovery.
