Pure Arcanist in U50 is even more about generating crux than usual. There are several ways to generate crux in the build:
- Cephaliarchs Flail - the usual way to gen crux
- Inspired Scholarship - for that first crux when beaming
- Cruxweaver Armour - crux when damaged, shouldn't proc too often in bosses if the tanks are doing their jobs (💀)
- Spattering Disjunction - alongside more status effect procs and dmg, this also generates a crux very similar to how the class banner (🪦) used to
- Abyssal Emergence - casting an ult will generate max crux, best done right after beaming to go right into another
Class Mastery
Abyssal Emergence does what it says above and also grants 666 👹 weapon and spell damage for 15 seconds.
Unbound Potential gives you 30% dmg done when you consume a crux. This can have a 100% uptime as long as you consume a crux every 7 seconds
Fate Realigned would be good to use if Spattering isn't equipped however the extra weapon and spell damage isn't working for the time being so disregard this one.
For one unlucky DD, Ink Scribes Verve grants group wide major force for 10 seconds on overhealing 100,000 health. This is so easily done as a DD by slotting reaving blows and echoing vigor.
Sets
For the most optimal crux generation during bosses, Spattering should go on the body paired with Null Arca but I appreciate that the null arca daggers don't exist so the other way around is fine.
The Prior Thierric monster set can also be used in place of the Velothi amulet which may give slightly more dmg in some circumstances.
Sul Xan and Deadly will be used for add pulls, just make sure to nab that blue soul from the first add that dies.
I've demonstrated what the setups would like with Prior Thierric on bosses and Velothi + 1pc Light Slimecraw on adds but you can have either or both on either setup.
Skills
The usual rotation of flail beam at every opportunity is still present but be mindful of what crux you are at so you are not overcasting flail. Beam when you have 3 crux.
Stampede does not have to be refreshed immediately when it falls off as the extra direct dmg from the Maelstrom set lasts an extra 3 secs.
Scalding Rune and Barbed Trap are good to place before the bosses come in e.g. before the dragons land in Sunspire. Refresh when expired, trap over rune for minor force if you're not using velothi.
Languid Eye is the ult to use as Dawnbreaker is only there to activate the fighters guild passives. Cast Eye after you have beamed and dots are up so you can go straight into another beam.
