This build requires you to keep a food buff active at all times (Back-Alley Gourmand set), does around +60k. Certainly good for dungeons and solo content. War Horn is not necessary, you can put whatever you want there since you won't be using your backbar ultimate much if at all. Thief Mundus since this is all crit based.
With group buffs:
- 63% critical
- 5k Spell Damage
- 11k Penetration (overkill but set bonuses end up getting you way over 7k)
- 15k Spell Resist
- 9k Physical Resist
- 38k Magicka
Resources won't be a problem at all with the build due to Recuperative Treatise, self heal with Cephaliarch's Flail and damage shield from Pragmatic Fatecarver. Tide King's Gaze for mobs that may or may not move (swap it out if you don't think you're going to have that issue). Use max magicka food for DPS buff instead of regen food.
You can probably get around the same DPS without Velothi Ur-Mage and do full Slimecraw, you'll lose around 5k dps.
The gear you can shift around between the sets with what you have unlocked since both Gourmand's and Whorl are both light. I have this setup how I had things unlocked and requiring less transmutes to make. If you go Ansuul's or Deadly switch Slimecraw to light and use the medium chest piece from either set.
I tested with Deadly Strikes, Perfected Ansuul's and Perfected Whorl, out of the 3, all 3 produced about the same DPS on a trial dummy. If you don't want to weave to proc Whorl, use Ansuul's or Deadly Strikes. All of them are pretty close in damage, you can get away with Deadly Strikes and still maintain about the same DPS on a trial dummy if you don't have any trial gear unlocked. You will most likely be able to push higher with trial gear though.
Basic rotation:
Start on the backbar:
- Recuperative Treatise
- Reconstructive Domain
- Elemental Susceptibility
- Fulminating Rune
- Shock Reach
Switch to front:
- Cephaliarch's Flail
- Unstable Wall
- Writhing Runeblads
- Pragmatic Fatecarver
Main Rotation:
(starting with backbar buffs up)
- Cephaliarch's Flail (if it's not active)
- Unstable Wall
- Writhing Runeblades x2 (or 3 - Cephaliarch's will generate a crux, so do as many as necessary to get to 3 active crux)
- Pragmatic Fatecarver
Do 1-4 again, then switch to back bar. This rotation allows you to do 1-4 twice before switching to backbar to refresh your buffs/debuffs. After the first Fatecarver you most likely will have to do 1-3 Runeblades to max your crux count.
- Elemental Susceptibility
- Fulminating Rune
- Shock Reach
- Recuperative Treatise
- Reconstructive Domain
Switch to front bar and repeat 1-4, following the pattern/notes. Note on Writhing Runeblades: you will be generating a lot of crux throughout the fight, so refreshing to get max crux isn't always necessary, if you are at 3, just use Pragmatic Fatecarver anyways. One or two Runeblades is a safe bet to get at least 3 crux for Fatecarver. After the first Fatecarver you will need to do at least 2 Runeblades to max your crux again.
If you are using Whorl, you will need to weave to proc the damage and weapon enchantments.
Using Ansuul's and Deadly Strikes, you don't have to weave, but you still need to light attack to proc the weapon enchantments.
