There's a simple trick hidden in plain sight that makes Lockpicking easy in the Elder Scrolls Online

Lockpicking is one of the most useful skills in the Elder Scrolls Online, and even if you don't do any stealing at all, you will still need to do quite a bit of lockpicking as there are many locked treasure chests hidden in overland zones and dungeons throughout the game.

It's however quite easy to fail lockpicking sometimes especially on the Advanced and Master locks where you have a tight time pressure to successfully complete the lockpicking. This can be slightly embarrassing if you are in a dungeon or trial group with several players waiting on you to open the chest.

It turns out that there is a trick to lockpicking that you probably didn't know about, which makes the process much easier.
