The main goal of Jewelry Crafting in The Elder Scrolls Online is to craft rings and necklaces. For that you need jewelry crafting specific materials that you can farm in the open world.
Note: You need the Summerset DLC to access jewelry crafting stations.
What does a Jewelry Crafter do?
A jewelry crafter mines, and works with, precious metals to craft rings and necklaces. They use these materials at jewelry crafting stations, found in cities all over Tamriel. There, they can refine the precious metal dust they gather from seams, improve the quality of items, research new traits, and deconstruct the jewelry they have found in their adventures.
Jewelry crafting is only available to players who have Summerset, anyone is able to gather materials, but people without Summerset cannot use jewelry crafting stations to refine, craft, improve, or deconstruct.
By refining raw dust material you get refined ounces that you can use to craft items with. Here we refined Platinum Dust into Platinum Ounce that we can use to craft Champion points level 150 & 160 gear.
The following jewelry materials currently exist:
Level Material | Jewelry Material |
---|---|
1 - 25 | Pewter |
26 - 50 | Copper |
Champion Points 10 - 60 | Silver |
Champion Points 70 -140 | Electrum |
Champion Points 150-160 | Platinum |
You can craft the following things at the jewelry crafting station:
You can also improve the quality of your ring and necklace. You always start out with the normal white quality. There are a few more:
Quality | Color | Item |
---|---|---|
Normal | White | Base |
Fine | Green | Terne Plating |
Superior | Blue | Iridium Plating |
Epic | Purple | Zircon Plating |
Legendary | Gold | Chromium Plating |
Grains
Jewelry Crafting has one extra step compared to all the other crafting professions. Instead of directly getting full upgrade materials, you only get grains. That means you have to farm a total of 10 grains to create 1 complete upgrade material, making it a lot more rare compared to other upgrade materials.
So lets take the picture above as an example, there I need 4 Chromium Platings to upgrade the item. To get 4 Chromium Platings I needed 40 Chromium Grains.
10 Grains = 1 Upgrade Material
Crafting a furnishing functions the same as when you craft an item. You need to make sure to have the right materials, if that is the case you can craft the furnishing. In this example here we crafted a Alinor Chalice, Delicate. Once we crafted the it we can place it in our home.
