Best Magicka Templar Build - Two Bar

There are four different setups for different stages or different purposes. Setups 1-3 are built for a mixture of PvE and PvP (Dungeon, Trial, Arena & Overland) while setup four is focused solely on PvE. 

• Setup One (Best Gear) is the best optimal choice with no limitations
• Setup Two (Pre-Trial) is best availability with no trial gear
• Setup Three (Novice) is the likely setup available for leveling players
• Setup Four (PvE) is the best possible setup for PvE only situations

Skills explanation*:

• Blazing Spear: Powerful single target and area of effect damage over time effect.
• Purifying Light: Strong single target damage ability. Also provides a bit of healing.
• Puncturing Sweeps: This is your spammable. Deals high single target and AoE damage and also heals you at the same time. Also procs Burning Light passive. (Alternatively you can also use other spammables such as Elemental Weapon or Force Pulse).
• Radiant Oppression: This is your execute ability, start using this instead of your spammable when the boss has less than 25% health.
• Inner Light: Passively slotted to gain more max magicka via the skill and the Magicka Controller passive.
• Shooting Star: We use this ultimate for trash packs, deals great AoE damage and also returns ultimate per enemy it.
• Unstable Wall of Elements: Powerful single target and area of effect damage ability. Also procs our back bar enchantment even when we are on the front bar.
• Mystic Orb: Powerful single target and area of effect damage over time ability.
• Solar Barrage: Strong single target and area of effect damage ability. Also applies the Empower buff to you, increasing light and heavy attack damage.
• Harness Magicka: This is your shield in case you get hit by a lot of damage, can bolster your health by a lot.
• Channeled Acceleration: Activate this to gain the Minor Force buff (In mobile fights we prefer Channeled Acceleration, in more stationary fights we recommend Barbed Trap).
• Crescent Sweep: Great ultimate if you can stay close to the target.
   
• *Important: It is very important that the Crescent Sweeps Ultimate stays on the backbar for the Aedric Spear passive Piercing Spear, otherwise you lose the passive bonus.

Food Buffs

The Solitude Salmon-Millet Soup gives you the highest max stats. If you have sustain issues then I do recommend using Clockwork Citrus Filet or the way cheaper version Witchmother’s Potent Brew. You can also use the Ghastly Eye Bowl if you want the highest max magicka and magicka recovery boost, keep in mind your health will be a lot lower though. Resource Management

Energy Orb will always be present in a good group. When you get close to the Orb you can activate its synergy to regain resources.

Potions should always be used on cooldown to gain the maximum benefit from them.

Heavy Attacks help you restore Magicka, if you drop low on resources do a few Heavy Attacks between skills to refill your Magicka.

Simple Attack Rotation

Use light attacks between each ability, also often referred as weaving.

• Weapon Swapping is important.
• Use Potions and Synergies on cooldown if possible.
