This is a damage dealer setup for Magicka Dragonknight. Dragonknight is a very flexible class and can viably use many different setups, this is my preference. These builds are for trials, not for the parse dummy, if you're looking for dummy builds, I recommend going to the DPS Nerds Discord Server.
- DEFAULT (Relequen/BRP Daggers/Maelstrom Inferno/Zaan/Velothi/2-Piece Crit)
Gear Flexibility: This is what is known as an arena/arena setup, or 5/2/2/2/2/1 setup. It's not that commonly used, but I think that it works very well, especially in fights where Relequen can be inconvenient to keep up on your front bar. Speaking of Relequen, it can be subbed out with Ansuul, Maelstrom Inferno can be subbed out with the Maelstrom Bow or the Maelstrom Greatsword, etc. There are not too many good single target monster sets anymore, so if Zaan isn't working for you, consider the Runecarver build. It is fine if everything is not one to one, just to try to get as close as you can in other aspects. Food, potions, champion points, enchants, traits, and armor weight ratio should be correct no matter what.
Skill Flexibility: If you are looking for a simpler rotation and want to replace skills with bar buffers like Camo Hunter, the scribing skills, Traveling Knife and Contingency, should be the first to go. If you need, or are assigned, another skill, like Stone Giant or Igneous Weapons, I would suggest the same thing. I have left Contingency's Affix empty, but you are unable to wear Velothi, scribe it to have Minor Force, or replace it with Barbed Trap. If using Barbed Trap, make sure to put it on your front bar, so move Venom Claw to your back bar.
Rotation: Just keep your DOTs up and whip. For certain DOTs, like Venom Claw and Flames of Oblivion, it is important that you let them complete their full duration, so try not to refresh early. Your Berserker skill (Elemental Blockade, Stampede, Endless Hail), should take priority over your other DOTs. Burning Talons can be used as a flex AOE spammable if there suddenly becomes more than one priority target.
- RUNECARVER (Relequen/Runecarver/Maelstrom Inferno/1-Piece Slimecraw/Velothi)
Gear Flexibility: If you struggle with Relequen front bar, feel free to swap it out for Ansuul. Putting either Runecarver or Ansuul on your front bar results in about a 2% DPS loss, so it really doesn't matter which 5-piece you decide to keep active. Subbing out Runecarver with something like Pillar of Nirn, Aegis Caller, or Whorl of the Depths would also result in acceptable damage. It is fine if everything is not one to one, just to try to get as close as you can in other aspects. Food, potions, champion points, enchants, traits, and armor weight ratio should be correct no matter what.

- TRASH (Sul-Xan/BSW/Grothdarr/Velothi)
Gear Flexibility: This is what is known as a proc/proc setup, where only one 5-Piece set bonus is active on either bar. It is a fairly tried-and-true setup, and each set fulfills a role that very few others can. Check out my Stamina Dragonknight's Trash Build if you want a build that has a bit more gear flexibility. It is fine if everything is not one to one, just to try to get as close as you can in other aspects. Food, potions, champion points, enchants, traits, and armor weight ratio should be correct no matter what.
Skill Flexibility: In some longer trash pulls, Anti-Calvary Caltrops may perform better than Proximity Detonation, and Standard of Might may perform better than Elemental Rage.
Rotation: Before combat, prebuff with Deadly Cloak, Flames of Oblivion, and Proximity Detonation. If you have enough Ultimate, drop your Elemental Rage; then cast Elemental Blockade, Eruption and barswap. After that, hit everything with Burning Talons, Deep Breath, and spam Whirling Blades after 50%.
