THE Build
This build focuses on maximizing direct damage from multiple sources, making it a powerhouse in both single-target and multi-target scenarios. We significantly amplify the damage of skills like Beam, Null Arca, and Flames of Oblivion by combining powerful effects from Maelstrom and Ancient Knowledge. (Replace Camo Hunter and Fulminating with Shocking banner for raid composition if needed) You can also make this a stamina build by reconfiguring attributes and enchantments if needed
Key Components
Gear: The build utilizes a 4-piece Tarnish Nightmare, but can also use the Highland Sentinel 4-piece set instead. The set is configured to increase critical damage and enable the use of the Nerien'eth monster set.
Passive Buffs: We utilize Molten Whip to boost weapon damage, ensuring consistent, high-impact hits passively.
Performance: This setup is competitive with standard Beam builds for single-target damage but truly shines in trials with multiple enemies (like vSS, vRG, and vDSR) due to the added area-of-effect (AoE) damage from Flames of Oblivion and Nerien'eth.
Rotation Guide
This is a step-by-step guide to the optimal skill rotation for maximum damage output.
Pre-Buff: Start by casting Flames of Oblivion and Inspired Scholarship.
Initial Burst: On your backbar, cast Stampede and Venomous Claw. Cast Standard for a powerful opening burst.
Beam Cycle:
On your frontbar, cast Flail until you have 3 Crux. (Use an addon to track crux)
Cast Beam and let it channel for its full duration.
Cast Flail two times, you should have 3 Crux again with a single cast.
Cast Beam again.
Sustained Damage: As needed, refresh your key buffs. Re-apply Flames of Oblivion and Inspired Scholarship as they expire. On your backbar, cast Stampede, followed by Venomous Claw when it runs out.
Alternative Setups for Specific Encounters
Trash Fights: For encounters with many weaker enemies, swap out your Merciless Charge with a Maelstrom Inferno Staff on your backbar. Replace Stampede with Wall of Elements and Venomous Claw with Caltrops for enhanced AoE
Gear Variants: Ansull or Sul-Xan are excellent alternatives to Null Arca for trash-clearing due to their AoE-focused bonuses.
