This is a support damage dealer setup for Stamina Dragonknight using the sets Z'en's Redress and Roar of Alkosh. Dragonknight is a very flexible class and can viably use many different setups, this is my preference. These builds are for trials, not for the parse dummy, if you're looking for dummy builds, I recommend going to the DPS Nerds Discord Server.
- DEFAULT (Alkosh/Z'en/Master's Bow/1-Piece Slimecraw/Velothi)
Gear Flexibility: If not assigned Alkosh, use either Relequen or Ansuul. If not assigned Z'en, use any passable DPS set to replace it, (Pillar of Nirn, Aegis Caller, or Whorl of the Depths, Relequen, Ansuul, Azureblight, Runecarver, etc). Master's Bow can be subbed out with the Maelstrom Inferno, Maelstrom Bow or the Maelstrom Greatsword, etc. It is fine if everything is not one to one, just to try to get as close as you can in other aspects. Food, potions, champion points, enchants, traits, and armor weight ratio should be correct no matter what.
Skill Flexibility: If you are looking for a simpler rotation and want to replace skills with bar buffers like Camo Hunter, the scribing skills, Traveling Knife and Contingency, should be the first to go. I have left Contingency's Affix empty, but you are unable to wear Velothi, scribe it to have Minor Force, or replace it with Barbed Trap. If using Barbed Trap, make sure to put it on your front bar, so move Flames of Oblivion or Venom Claw to your back bar.
Rotation: Just keep your DOTs up and whip. For certain DOTs, like Venom Claw and Flames of Oblivion, it is important that you let them complete their full duration, so try not to refresh early. Your Berserker skill (Elemental Blockade, Stampede, Endless Hail), should take priority over your other DOTs. Burning Talons can be used as a flex AOE spammable if there suddenly becomes more than one priority target.
- + STAGGER & IGNEOUS WEAPONS (Alkosh/Z'en/Maelstrom Inferno/1-Piece Slimecraw/Velothi)
Maelstrom Inferno can be subbed out with the Maelstrom Bow or the Maelstrom Greatsword, etc. It is fine if everything is not one to one, just to try to get as close as you can in other aspects. Food, potions, champion points, enchants, traits, and armor weight ratio should be correct no matter what.
Skill Flexibility: If you are unable to wear Velothi, replace Shattering Knife with Barbed Trap or Minor Force Flame Contingency. If using Barbed Trap, make sure to put it on your front bar.
Rotation: Stone Giant should be casted every 2-3 skills to keep up. While it does last 6 seconds, it is good to get in that rhythm incase you get stunned or have to roll dodge. Other than that, just keep your DOTs up and Whip. For certain DOTs, like Venom Claw and Flames of Oblivion, it is important that you let them complete their full duration, so try not to refresh early. Your Berserker skill (Elemental Blockade, Stampede, Endless Hail), should take priority over your other DOTs. Shattering Knife can be used as a flex AOE spammable if there suddenly becomes more than one priority target. If you want something more mindless, StamDKs can also simply use Stone Giant as their spammable and leave Whip untouched.
- TRASH (Alkosh/Sul-Xan/Maelstrom Inferno/1-Piece Slimecraw/Velothi)
Gear Flexibility: If you would rather use a different trial set such as Ansuul or Mora Scribe instead of Sul-Xan, that it fine, but other than that, not much should be changed about this setup. I like to keep Alkosh on both bars so I can proc it as I run in while I am dropping my backbar DOTs. It is fine if everything is not one to one, just to try to get as close as you can in other aspects. Food, potions, champion points, enchants, traits, and armor weight ratio should be correct no matter what.
Skill Flexibility: In some longer trash pulls, Anti-Calvary Caltrops may perform better than Proximity Detonation, and Standard of Might may perform better than Elemental Rage.
Rotation: Before combat, prebuff with Deadly Cloak, Flames of Oblivion, and Proximity Detonation. If you have enough Ultimate, drop your Elemental Rage; then cast Elemental Blockade, Eruption and barswap. After that, hit everything with Burning Talons, Engulfing Flames, and spam Whirling Blades after 50%. As you are running into the pack, use a synergy to proc Alkosh.
